About band
Pure rock ’n’ roll. No extras.
The Plagijators are a Zagreb pop-punk-rock institution that has stripped the genre of all unnecessary details, leaving only the pure, unfiltered essence of rock ’n’ roll. Instead of mere reproduction, the band delivers an authentic interpretation with character, turning every performance into a club event people talk about.
Every cover performed by The Plagijators goes through “plagijatorizing” — a process in which well-known songs are taken apart and rebuilt with a character that becomes an authentic copy, and at the same time your new favourite original. On stage, with their uncompromising playing, The Plagijators erase the line between the band and the audience. The space turns into one shared, honest energy — an energy that is unique on the Zagreb club scene and beyond. With The Plagijators, local classics by Azra, EKV, and Haustor gain a new, amped-up character, while the dance grooves of Dino Dvornik and Idoli collide with the rock punch of Arctic Monkeys, The Kinks, and Radiohead. Whether it’s the hip-hop energy of Beastie Boys and TBF, the punk-rock anthems of Green Day and the Ramones, or club classics like Billy Idol and Let 3, the band strips each song down to its bare core until only pure rock ’n’ roll remains. It’s a musical chaos that makes perfect sense — imitation without imitation that becomes original the moment Kruno, Ito, Thomas, and Krešo strike the first chords.
